Area of Application:
The legal foundations of data protection can be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) and in the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz, TMG).
Access Data / Server Log Files:
The provider (and/or their web space provider) collects data on every access to the Offer (so-called server log files). This access data includes the following information: name of the website called up, file, date and time of the call-up, amount of data transmitted, notification of the successful call-up, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the last site visited before), IP address and the requesting provider.
The provider only uses the log data for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the Offer. However, the provider reserves the right to subsequently review the log data if there is any suspicion of any illegal use based on solid indications.
Handling of Personal Data:
Personal data is any information that is used to identify a person, i.e. any information that can be traced back to an individual person. This includes the name, the e-mail address or the telephone number of such person, but data on preferences, hobbies, memberships or the names of websites called up by someone is also classified as personal data.
Personal data is collected, used and forwarded by the provider only if this is permitted by law or if the users agree to such data collection.
When the user establishes contact with the provider (for example by contact form or e-mail), the user's information is stored for the purpose of processing the request, and in case any follow-up questions arise.
With our newsletter, we provide you with information about our company and our offers.
If you want to receive the newsletter, you must provide us with a valid e-mail address as well as with information allowing us to verify that you are the holder of the indicated e-mail address and/or that its holder agrees to receive the newsletter. No other data will be collected. This data will only be used to dispatch the newsletter and will not be forwarded to third parties.
Upon your registration for our newsletter, we will store your IP address and the registration date. This storage only serves as proof in case a third party misuses an e-mail address and registers to receive the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorised party.
Your consent to the storage of data and of your e-mail address as well as to the use of such for the dispatch of our newsletter may be revoked by you at any time. The revocation can take place via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile area or by notification to the contact details specified above.
Integration of Services and Content of Third Parties:
It may be the case that content of third parties, such as YouTube videos, Google Maps map material, RSS feeds or illustrations of other websites are integrated into this online Offer. This always requires that the providers of such content (hereinafter referred to as "Third-Party Providers") are able to see the user's IP address. This is due to the fact that they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user without this IP address. The IP address is thus only necessary in order to display such content. We endeavour to exclusively use such content whose respective providers only use the IP address for the purpose of sending the content. However, we are not able to exert any influence in this respect if the Third-Party Providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. To the extent that this is known to us, we inform the users accordingly.
Cookies are small files which enable us to store specific, device-related information on the user's access device (PC, smartphone etc.). On the one hand, they are used to make the websites more user-friendly and are thus of benefit to the users (e.g. storage of log-in data). On the other hand, they are used to collect statistical data on how the website is used and to analyse such data for the purpose of improving the Offer. The users can exert influence on how the cookies are used. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. Nevertheless, it should be pointed out that the use and especially the convenience of use regarding websites is limited without cookies.
The data entered within the framework of the registration is used for the purpose of using the Offer. The user can be informed by e-mail of any information which is relevant for the Offer or the registration, such as changes regarding the scope of the Offer or technical circumstances. The data collected can be accessed from the input mask within the framework of the registration. This includes first and last name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number.
This Offer uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files which are stored on the users' computer and allow for an analysis of the use of the website by them. As a general rule, the information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the users is transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there.
In the event that the IP anonymisation option is enabled on this website, however, the IP address of the users of Google is first be shortened within the member states of the European Union or in other countries which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the complete IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. IP anonymisation has been enabled on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to analyse the use of the website by the users, to compile reports about the website activities and to provide the website operator with additional services that are related to the website's use and to the use of Internet.
The IP address that is transmitted by your browser within the frame of Google Analytics is not amalgamated with other Google data. The users can prevent the saving of cookies via the corresponding settings of their browser software. However, this Offer informs the users that in such case they might not be able to use all functions of this website to the full extent. Moreover, the users can prevent the registration of the data which is created by the cookie and relates to their use of the website (incl. their IP address) to Google, as well as the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Use of Facebook Social Plug-ins:
This Offer uses social plug-ins ("Plug-ins") of the facebook.com social network, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, United States ("Facebook"). The Plug-ins can be recognised by one of the Facebook logos (a white "f" on a blue tile or a "thumbs-up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plug-in"). The list and the appearance of the Facebook Social Plug-ins can be seen here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
If a user calls up any website of this Offer which contains such a Plug-in, the user's browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. The content of the Plug-in is directly transmitted by Facebook to your browser and is not integrated into the website. The provider is thus not able to exert any influence on the scope of the data collected by Facebook with the help of such Plug-in, and so informs the users according to the provider's state of knowledge.
Through integration of the Plug-ins, Facebook is provided with the information that a user called up the corresponding site of the Offer. In the event that the user is logged in on Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to the user's Facebook account. If users interact with the Plug-ins, for example if they click on the "Like" button or write a comment, their browser directly transmits the corresponding information to Facebook and store it there. If a user is not a Facebook member, it is nevertheless possible that Facebook find out and store the user's IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymised IP address is stored in Germany.
Detailed information on the purpose and scope of the collection of data and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the related rights and setting options to protect the users' privacy can be found in the Facebook privacy notice available here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about them via this Offer and to link such data with the user's membership data stored with Facebook, the user has to log out of Facebook before they visit the website.
Revocation, Amendments, Notifications and Updates:
The user has the right to be provided, upon request and free of charge, with information on the personal data collected about the user. In addition, the user also has the right to have incorrect data corrected and to have their personal data blocked and deleted insofar as there is no legal obligation to retain such data.
